Brussels-born Joris Kayembe developed through Belgian youth football before joining Porto's setup in 2013, earning a senior appearance and loan moves around Portugal. After an injury-hit spell at Nantes, he found consistency at Charleroi and then Genk as a reliable left-back and wing-back. Capped twice by Belgium in 2020, he switched to DR Congo in 2023 and played at the AFCON, and now brings versatility down the left for the World Cup.
