Nicknamed 'Manotas', Luis Mejía came through Tauro in Panama City and was the revelation of the 2007 U-20 World Cup as the youngest goalkeeper in the tournament. He built his career almost entirely in Uruguay with Fénix and Nacional, winning league and Super Copa titles, and reclaimed the Nacional number one shirt in 2024 after Sergio Rochet's move to Internacional. A vastly experienced veteran, he heads to 2026 as one of Panama's senior goalkeeping options.
