Nicknamed 'Negrito', Alberto Quintero began at Chorrillo and moved to Spain as a young man, later starring for six seasons at Peru's Universitario where he scored 33 goals. Named to Panama's 2018 World Cup squad, he tragically suffered a fractured foot in a pre-tournament friendly and missed the finals. Now the most-capped outfield veteran in the group, he gets a long-awaited World Cup chance in 2026.
