Born in Sweden, Tahirovic came through Swedish football before a move to Roma, where he made his Serie A debut. In 2023 he joined Ajax on a five-year deal, then moved to Brondby in Denmark in 2025. A tall, composed defensive midfielder who breaks up play and starts attacks, he is a key engine in Bosnia's midfield at the 2026 World Cup.
