Sunjic came through NK Zagreb and Dinamo Zagreb, breaking out at Lokomotiva before returning to Dinamo to win a Croatian title and feature in Europe. A 2019 move to Birmingham City made him an English Championship regular, and after a Hertha Berlin loan he joined Cyprus's Pafos, winning their first-ever league title. The combative destroyer adds steel to Bosnia's midfield in 2026.
