Born in Sarajevo in 2006, Celik came through FK Sarajevo's academy and became the club's captain as a teenager. His February 2025 move to RC Lens was the largest transfer in Bosnian league history at around 2.5 million euros, and he won the Coupe de France with Lens in 2026. The young centre-back made his senior Bosnia debut just before the World Cup.
