Born in Lucerne to a Dominican father and Swiss mother, Luca Jaquez came through FC Luzern's academy and became a regular centre-back before a 2025 move to VfB Stuttgart, where he won the DFB-Pokal. A left-footed defender, he is one of the youngest members of the squad and part of a new generation of Swiss defenders.
