Born in Port-au-Prince, Carlens Arcus moved to São Paulo, Brazil as a teenager to chase football before joining the French system, where he developed and made his name at AJ Auxerre with over 120 league appearances. The defensive right-back later played in the Eredivisie with Vitesse before returning to Ligue 1 with Angers.
