Born in Lagny-sur-Marne, France to parents of Haitian and Lao descent, Ruben Providence came through US Torcy, Paris Saint-Germain's academy and then AS Roma. The winger-forward developed through loan spells at Club Brugge, Estoril and most fruitfully Hartberg in Austria before settling at Dutch club Almere City. A former France U19 international, he switched to Haiti in 2025 and has chipped in with goals in World Cup qualifying.
