Sphephelo 'Yaya' Sithole built his entire professional career in Portugal, joining Sporting CP's U19s in 2017 before spells at Vitoria Setubal, Belenenses SAD and then Tondela, with a loan at Gil Vicente. A combative defensive midfielder, he made his Bafana debut in 2022 and was part of the third-place 2023 AFCON squad. A regular starter for Tondela in the Primeira Liga, he adds European experience to South Africa's engine room.
