Haissem Hassan was born in Bagnolet, France, to an Egyptian father and Tunisian mother, and came through the youth ranks at Paris FC and Chateauroux before joining Villarreal in 2020. After productive loans in Spain's second tier he signed for Real Oviedo, where he was instrumental in their promotion back to La Liga after 24 years away; a tricky winger, he opted to represent Egypt and is a recent addition to the squad.
