Robin Hranáč took a winding road to the top, with loans at Liptovský Mikuláš and Pardubice before establishing himself at Viktoria Plzeň, where he was named the Czech league's best defender in 2023-24 after reaching the Conference League quarter-finals. A left-footed centre-back, he joined Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in 2024 for a fee reported up to €11 million. He played all three of Czechia's Euro 2024 matches and is now a fixture in the back line.
