Brother of fellow France defender Lucas Hernández, Théo was born in Marseille and raised partly in Spain, coming through Atlético Madrid's system. After a spell at Real Madrid he moved to Milan in 2019, where his marauding runs from left-back made him one of the world's best in the position. He later joined Al-Hilal and remains France's attacking left-back in 2026.
