Son of legendary Norway goalkeeper Erik Thorstvedt, Kristian Thorstvedt came through Viking and Stabæk's youth ranks before signing for Genk, where he won the Belgian Cup. He joined Sassuolo in 2022 and helped them win Serie B in 2024-25 to bounce straight back to the top flight, where he has chipped in with goals and assists from midfield.
