Ahmed Nadhir Benbouali was born in Chlef and came through the Paradou AC academy before a 2022 move to Belgian side Charleroi that brought limited returns. A loan to Hungarian club Gyori ETO transformed his career: the towering 1.90m striker became a focal point and fired the club to the 2025-26 Hungarian title, scoring the title-clinching goal on the final day. He earns his World Cup place on the back of that prolific season.
